Locker Stories

As soon as August approaches I see all these ads related to lockers. There's locker magnets, locker wallpaper, locker whiteboards, locker shelves...

I don't get it! You're going to have to help me out here. What is this whole thing about lockers? I never had a locker in school in Scotland.

So, tell me your locker stories, good or bad. Do you have fond memories of school lockers, or bad locker stories to share? Fill me in. I need educated!

The only locker story I have for you is that sometimes in our school the drug dogs would be brought in to sniff them out--looking for the big bad drug dealers. I'm betting they don't advertise organizers for 'your weed'. HA HA Ha.

Ruralmama, that one made me chuckle! I hope a few more people leave stories :-)

I didn't have lockers until 7th grade. We had small square lockers then that were stacked 4 or 5 high. Invariably the shortest people got the top lockers. We had full-length lockers in high school. Certainly didn't have the magnets, mirrors and decorations today. THere was a hook for your coat and a shelf for your books, and a big space for piling stuff up and cleaning out at the end of the year and saying, "Oh, THERE it is!"
